Creating Stakeholder Map: Visualise who and how people relate to your business
Have you illustrated who are in your business and how they are related each other at a glance? ๐
Stakeholder map is one of the well-known tools used in service design. ๐งฐ It helps show who are involved in your business and how they are connected. ๐งโ๐คโ๐ง
This set of worksheets consist of 5 pages:
- an example of stakeholder map for cafe businesses
- ... and an example with some findings and comments to the map
- a how-to-draw instruction for your stakeholder map
- an example of job titles for food business
- a blank template of people for map creation (appendix)
The map can highlight those who are more visible in your business and whose tasks are possibly concentrated ๐, and also helps see who/which points are the key in the service delivery processes. ๐๏ธ
Unlike the worksheet to draw customer journey maps which has a blank template, this set needs illustrated from zero by creators ๐จ, so the final form can be very flexible. โบ๏ธ๐๏ธ
This is because who are stakeholders in the business and how they are categorised will be much various and different by service. ๐๐
Instead, 4) an example of job titles for food business and 5) a blank template of people for map creation is included โบ๏ธ. They can be cut out from the paper โ๏ธ and tried for arrangement on your desk ๐, which may be easier to make changes on how they relate and add/reduce the elements. ๐
After finishing presenting the all of your stakeholders and fitting them in a sheet ๐, you can classify people by relationship and add your comments as what you found and noticed. ๐
Once illustrated, the map may look simple ๐; yet the power of the visualisation will surprise you! โบ๏ธ
